Ajay graduated in optometry from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in 2004. He has extensive clinical experience and special interests in paediatrics, myopia and binocular vision. He was a faculty at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad from 2004-2006 and has worked at the Queensland Eye Institute, Australia. He has also completed a clinical training in orthoptics and binocular vision at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.

Currently, he is a Senior Optometrist at the National University Hospital.  Aside from clinical work, Ajay is active in medical teaching at the National University Hospital, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine where he teaches at undergraduate and post-graduate level. He also participates in clinical research investigating a tailored approach to myopia management.

He is presently pursuing a Masters’ in Clinical Optometry at Sushant University.
