Dr Janice Lam is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Department of Ophthalmology, National University Hospital (NUH) and Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
After completing her fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, she returned to Singapore where she currently specializes in the diagnosis and management of paediatric myopia, paediatric cataracts and complex squints in children and adults.Â
She has an interest in clinical and academic research and has authored several publications. Aside from clinical work and research, Dr Lam also actively supports the education of medical students and residents, and currently serves as the NUS Undergraduate Medical Deputy Education Director of Ophthalmology.Â
Dr Lam strongly believes in giving back actively to society and has participated in pro bono cataract trips to remote areas in need of eye care and surgery in China, Indonesia, Nepal and Cambodia.
