Dr. Koichi Ono is a senior associate professor at the Juntendo Tokyo-Koto Geriatric Medical Center, with over two decades of experience in ophthalmology and public health.
After graduating from Nagoya City University School of Medicine in 1996, he earned a certification in community eye health from University College London in 1999 and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in 2006. In 2010, he received a PhD in Global Health from Juntendo University.
His research focuses on public health, epidemiology, and global health, with the goal of eliminating preventable blindness.
As a board member of the Japan National Society for the Prevention of Blindness, his work continues to make a significant impact on eye care worldwide.
