Dr Maryanne Romero is an Associate Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at Alexandra Hospital, Singapore, and a current fellow in Orbit and Oculofacial Surgery under the tutelage of Dr Gangadhara Sundar at the National University Hospital.

During her fellowship, she has gained extensive experience in managing complex orbital pathologies, oculofacial trauma, and challenging cases of refractory thyroid eye disease.

She has a special interest in lacrimal surgery, particularly the use of dacryoendoscopy in the diagnosis and management of lacrimal obstructions.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Romero is actively engaged in resident education and has contributed to book chapters as well as presentations at international meetings.
