Dr. Sharlene Noguera is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in Cornea and External Disease.
She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of the Philippines Diliman and earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from UP Manila. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH), where she distinguished herself as Chief Resident and topped the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology Diplomate Examination.
Dr. Noguera further honed her expertise in Cornea and External Disease through fellowship training at UP-PGH, followed by advanced training in Lamellar Corneal Transplantation under Dr. Rajesh Fogla at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad, India.
She currently serves as a Cornea and External Disease consultant at the Asian Eye Institute. In addition, she holds key roles at the Region 1 Medical Center as Residency Training Officer and Chief of Cornea and External Disease, and Cataract Services. Dr. Noguera is the Secretary of the Philippine Cornea Society and a member of the Asia Cornea Society.
