Dr. Omar Ozgur is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Ozgur obtained his BS in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine, and prior to medical school, Dr. Ozgur worked as a software engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Vermont, College of Medicine.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mt. Sinai. He then completed an American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) accredited fellowship at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Medical Center.
His expertise encompasses the medical and surgical management of the eyelids, tear-drainage system, orbit, and face, with specialized training in treating cancers of the eyelids and orbital region.
