Dr. Chan Hiok Hong is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), specializing in Medical Retina and Cataract & Comprehensive Ophthalmology.

He graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2013, where he was awarded the Gold Medal and Book Prize in Ophthalmology. He completed residency training at SNEC, attaining the Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 2019, specialist accreditation in 2021, and Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

Dr. Chan pursued subspecialty fellowship training in Medical Retina at SNEC in 2023 and was awarded the prestigious Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Award in 2024 for advanced fellowship at UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute under Professor David Sarraf, gaining expertise in multimodal ocular imaging and retinal drug toxicities. He is currently Clinical Director of the Ocular Imaging Service at SNEC, leading innovations in imaging, research, and cross-disciplinary collaborations.
